Block-Art

Block-Art is art on a block of wood!  I don't know if this is actually a "thing" but I really like using wood as my canvas!  Here is how I prep my Block-Art!

1) Cut out your blocks: I like to use different shapes when cutting out my blocks to keep it interesting.

2) Prime your blocks: I just used a primer spray paint to prime my blocks.

3)  Make a background: Find your stencils and spray paint! I use spray paint and stencils to make my background interesting.


4) Fill in the blank space: To fill in the leftover white space I do a yellow or blue wash. What I do is mix yellow or blue paint into a small amount of water and brush it onto to my block. I then use a paper towel and rub off the excess wash.

5) Make it pretty: I usually just go on Pinterest for some inspirational quotes and patterns and just paint it on.

6) Top coat: For my top coat I use Golden Self Leveling Clear Gel to make the block look done.
